The Kearney Firefighters Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose membership is made up of members of the Kearney Fire & Rescue Protection District. We fund several projects used for public relations and historical preservation through our organization without the use of tax money from the fire district. We also contribute to charitable organizations including MDA, many fire service related causes, and causes within the local community. Our money comes from fundraisers such as the Barn Dance that we have hosted at the Jesse James Festival. We were fortunate to be able to host the Firefighter’s Association of Missouri Convention this year which was a tremendous fundraiser. We operate vending machines at the fire station and offer fire extinguishers & safety items for sale to the public. |
